Мислите ли, че метълкор, деткор и модърн метъл групите са истински метъл?
Моят отговор е не.
Примерно метълкора - всички тези групи правят изключително повърхностна и скучна музика и се продават като топъл хляб. Да не говорим за феновете, за които тези групи са едва ли не най-великото и най-техничното в метъла. А всичко това звучи по един и същи начин. 1-2 песни в даден албум биха били ОК. Но, за Бога, цялата ти дискография да се състои от едни и същи песни с беззъби рифчета, насечки и бийтдауни... Груува и пост-траша - безкрайни вариации върху Exhorder, Pantera (които са си копия на Exhorder, ама карай) и Crowbar. Деткора - жалки опити за грайнд, с един брейкдаун по средата... Въобще почти всичкият модерен "метъл" смуче здраво (а голяма част от него дори не е метъл). До 1-2 години това няма да го има.

Ancient ruins, lawless forests, dark moments in the soul and hidden joys; these are the primary symbols of Romanticist literature and art. It espouses the values of classical civilization in that of humanity confronting wilderness (including suffering) and choosing not to dominate it, but appreciate its ways and the ultimate wisdom of its design; this is a cosmological philosophy, or one that addresses the whole of existence, unlike philosophies which limit their view to the human perspective. It is not absolutist; in it there is no ultimate truth, only personal experience, and that experience is esoteric, meaning that those who have the greatest ability (intelligence, character and strength) find as much knowledge as they seek. There is no single key, or single devotional sign-up-and-you're-in-the-know attitude, nor is the any approval for the one-size-fits-all depersonalizing influence of bureaucratic, liberal, democratic society. Romantic literature and art blossomed during and after the "Enlightenment," a movement which eventually became massively populist in attitude, much as metal came about during the hippie pacificist festival of late 1960s rock music. Romanticism is traditionally linked to a rejection of conventional morality and Nationalism, or pride in one's own tribe, race and caste. It is thus linked to the ancient feudal societies in which a warrior aristocracy ruled for the best interests of all, but was unafraid to promote the better over the rest. Black metal imagery is almost a direct match for Romantic aesthetics; heavy metal imagery contains many of the same elements. The confusion moderns experience over seeing National Socialism (nationalist ethnocultural feudalism) linked with a radically pro-Green and anti-industrial-society stance is the result of modern society being detached from its Romantic roots.
