"This documentary will try to capture Ashmedi in his personal surroundings as well as his music life in the Netherlands. The camera will travel with him to Jerusalem in the 'Holy' Land to emphasize and document the settings that have been relevant to the writing processes and the timeline of MELECHESH's existence. This portrait will reveal what aspects of the area contributed to the shaping of Ashmedi's personality on a spiritual, intellectual and musical level.
The documentary will be a fine account of Ashmedi's musical, cultural, ethnical and spiritual background, and will take us to places that will give a visual soundtrack to the mystical music of MELECHESH."

Metal Blade Records announces the signing of Aeternam

MELECHESH Recording Demos For New Album - June 26, 2009

Ashmedi and Moloch of the Sumerian thrashing black metal act MELECHESH are holed up at the Sulphonic studio in Rotterdam working on demos for the follow-up to the "Emissaries" album. This will be MELECHESH's fifth full-length effort and first for Nuclear Blast Records. No date is set for the recording but it will not be before the fall.

According to a press release, "The band are aiming to keep the album multi-dimensional when it comes to the atmosphere of the songs. One of the new elements will be a couple of songs written and recorded entirely with 12 strings electric guitars. Ashmedi will then head to Istanbul where he will meet prominent musicians there so as to explore the eastern musical traditions of the city."

Commented Ashmedi: "Istanbul is a place where Eastern and Western Music have been perfectly interwoven for decades, and it is a great place to absorb musically and spiritually as Istanbul also has a very fascinating occult side to it as well."

М/у др., на момчетата от Аркан препоръчах един неземен певец/инструменталист, Дафер Юсеф - удивително, че не го бяха чували, след като и той е от Тунис и живее в Париж.

regarding the best bands in the scene, well Saudi Arabia is really poor in Metal scene, weak inspiration as i can put it, but if want try out our next door friend, a very small island called "Bahrain" there is a great oriental death metal band called "Narjahanam" they are in myspace top friend, give them a listen and im sure you will fall in love with them
another good band but not Oriental from Bahrain "Smouldering in Forgotten" these guys play some good hard kicking stuff. They are also in our top friends.
well those what we have enjoyed from the local scene. As you know the Arabia scene is extremely small.
In Saudi Arabia things are very tough, Metal consider Illegal, and metal concerts are not allowed, so we are forbidden from live shows.
but nevertheless, bless myspace, we can spread our work here.
we are thinking of getting out and exploring the world, very soon when we are ready we will break through the desert storm and spread the taste of Oriental rain!
